In the Gulf region, major source of drinking water is from sea desalination with reverse osmosis process. It a well-known fact that during process highly concentrated brine wastewater being discharged into deep sea. As result, ecosystem and aquatic life are disturbed. The coral reefs diminishing in vicinity discharge point. aim this project to convert plant (brine) dilute caustic solution. An electrodialysis unit was fabricated silver anode graphite cathode. A cation membrane an anion fixed separate cathode compartments. samples were collected Sur, plant. study conducted by varying direct current voltage 24 V 48 V. observed at volts pH steadily increased 13.8 10 hours. concentration reached 1.2% 12 results encouraging.
